OUR MISSION

Creation. Production. Distribution.

Founded in 2015, Egarri Edariak creates, produces and distributes a wide range of drinks produced by hand in the Basque Country.

 

Our mission is to offer our customers in the retail, HoReCa, grocery stores or private individuals, quality artisanal drinks, produced locally in the Basque Country. To do this, we have developed a wide range of drinks that are both traditional and innovative: soft drinks, beers, ciders, juices, wines, spirits, liqueurs, etc.

 

Thanks to the work of our team of 17 young and dynamic employees, we want to promote Basque gastronomy and culture throughout the world.

OUR STORY

A story of encounters and passion

In 2013, three friends, Peio, Xalbat and Bastien, united by their love of gastronomy and cider, decided to launch into the international beverage business. This first step marked the genesis of a unique entrepreneurial adventure.

 

Two years later, in 2015, the story took on a new dimension with the creation of Kupela, a brand dedicated to the promotion of sagardo (Basque cider). The goal? To introduce this local treasure in bars, restaurants and supermarkets in the northern Basque Country.

 

After the success of Kupela, we created Balea, an organic beer, in 2018. This new step allowed us to develop our distribution network with Supermarkets (large and medium-sized stores) and HoReCa (cafes, hotels, restaurants) while collaborating with other local producers.

 

Since then, we have continued to reinvent ourselves and innovate to offer you the best of artisanal Basque drinks.

ERAGIN FABRIKA

An innovative production tool

Our design and distribution activity is supported by the expertise of our manufacturing workshop.

In 2019, we took a major step forward by acquiring the Elikatxo production site in Bardos. This site has enabled the production of emblematic products such as Euskola Basque cola and the Pressoir du Pays Basque juice range.

In 2023, Elikatxo became Eragin Fabrika and moved to Ayherre, to a brand-new, modern and responsible production facility, with an integrated micro-brewery, enabling us to create the autonomous Basque beer Abarratia.

The 1700 m² site enables us to produce ever more innovative beverages and brew our own beer.

HIGHLIGHTS

2013 : Launch of international beverage trading business
2015: Creation of the KUPELA brand and local distribution network
2018: Creation of the BALEA brand, a range of organic craft beers
2018: Creation of the LOREAK brand of sparkling sangrias
2019 : Takeover of EUSKOLA, the Basque cola brand, and PRESSOIR DU PAYS BASQUE, a range of fresh fruit juices, by acquiring the Elikatxo production site in Bardos
2020: Creation of the AMA LUR wine brand and the Pressoir du Pays Basque organic range.
2020: Launch of our EDARI DRINKS online boutique, dedicated to private customers.
2021: Creation of the ARIMA brand, a range of natural and organic iced teas.
2022: Creation of Ets. LAPURDI, a transversal range of spirits: gin, rum and whisky
2023: Elikatxo becomes Eragin Fabrika and moves to Ayherre in a brand-new production facility with an integrated microbrewery, enabling us to produce increasingly innovative beverages and brew our own beer.
2023: Creation of Bière Autonome Basque ABARRATIA, a range of craft beers using Basque malts and hops.
2024: Menda and Patxaran liqueurs are added to the Ets. Lapurdi range.
